Kirsty Tyler of Wyefield Wealth Management

Kirsty Tyler has 17 years experience as a financial advisor, working with both personal and business clients.  Having spent 11 years working with mid to high net worth clients at NatWest Private Banking Kirsty left to join St. James's Place in 2013 due to changes which meant she could no longer offer the high levels of service she wanted to.

Kirsty is married, and has a 12 year old son.  His hobbies include rugby and taekwondo, and hers include driving him to training sessions and matches around the county and beyond.  She runs when she has the time,  but is very out of practice at the moment.

Although most of her clients are in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, Kirsty will travel further for a good client.  Over the years some clients have moved to far flung corners of the country but have asked to maintain their relationship with her because they know they can trust her.

As one of the most highly qualified financial advisers in the country Kirsty has the following accreditations.

  • Qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2012, which is a degree level qualification in financial planning (approx. 15% of financial advisers hold this higher level qualification nationally).
  • Accredited member of the Society of Later Life Advisers, with specialist skills in advising elderly or vulnerable clients.  This is particularly helpful when dealing with clients who have received a large Personal Injury settlement.
  • Associate Member of STEP (formerly the Society of Trust and Estate Planners) aiming to complete STEP Advanced Diploma exams by the end of this year.  This means Kirsty has a very high level of specialist technical knowledge in relation to inheritance tax planning, trusts, and estate planning.  This is a qualification more usually held by solicitors and it is extremely unusual to find a financial advisor who holds it - it will put her in the top 1% of most highly qualified advisers nationally.

In Kirsty's own words; "My aim is to be a 'safe pair of hands' both for clients, and professionals who refer their clients to me.  I believe that my knowledge and experience combined with the support and back up I get from St. James's Place makes me just that.  The most common feedback I get is that I explain things very clearly in a way which clients find easy to understand.  They value this because it helps them trust me, which means they worry less.

The most satisfying part of my job is being able to set someone on the right path, take away the worries they have about their finances, and put them in the position where they can take informed decisions because they now understand where they are and where they are trying to get to financially.

I aim to grow my business over the next few years, and Michelle, Lesley and I saw potential in working more closely together as our business aims are very similar."

Kirsty will be available for meetings at our office in Ledbury on the first Monday of each month.  You can book in for either a 45 minute initial chat or a 90 minute full financial review, both of which are free of charge.
